Another of the famous Peters's Letters, formerly of Hebron.
Rev. Dr. Byles, at Halifax, Nova-Scotia.
Reverend Sir . . . [3/4 of column. Near end:]
If the Congress hold out bold--America will see Flanders
in the land of Saints--by now I fancy the Saints are singing
their old puritanic hypocritic canting hymn, viz.
"Peace is the blessing that I seek
  "How lovely are her charms"
  Eke they may remember also
That to the wicked is no peace
Their cruelty to the Tories does honor to their vital,
pure, original, Geneva system of religion. . . [signed] No
Friend of Dr. Foster. Cold Bath, No. 7. July 8th, 1776.
Dr. C. and Mr. T. are well. vide T.B. --if ignorant of me.
